Project Description

For the class project you can create any character you like. You can use your own character reference images to import into Blender. But if this is your first attempt at creating a 3D character, I'd suggest following along with the provided image so that your project is similar to mine. Then try the process again with your own characters.

I'll be using Blender to create the 3D character. And I'll use a Wacom graphics tablet during the texturing phase. If you don't have a graphics tablet you can use a computer mouse.

Complete your class project in these easy steps:

  1. Watch through a video lesson
  2. Repeat the process shown in the video (and save your work)
  3. Move on to the next video
  4. When you've completed the course, post your character animation to your class project

This is a long project and may take some time. The process of creating a 3D character has many steps. But the more you do it, the quicker and easier it will become.

And feel free to post images and screenshots of your progress as you go. It can be inspiring for others to see your work.
